Build a False Wall to Mount a TV as a Renter

Most landlords won't let you drill a ton of holes in the wall so you can mount your TV to the wall. Wired's solution? Just build a fake wall.

The idea here is that you're going to essentially build an entire wall over a wall in your apartment. So, you'll make a foundation, drill on some drywall, and make it look exactly like the actual wall in your apartment. Then, you'll go ahead and drill a hole to hide wires, mount the fake wall to your real wall, and mount the TV just as you would if you owned the place. The total cost is under $200 and you won't have to deal with an angry landlord. Head over to Wired for the full guide.
