Artiste calls for govt presence in entertainment industry | :: Herald ...

An upcoming artiste in Kwara State as appealed to government come to their aid? toward making the entertainment industry a word class.
The appeal was made in Ilorin by Salami Bashir (a.k.a rishkedor) while fielding questions from a reporter in Ilorin during a concert organized by some students of Kwara State Polytechnic,? Ilorin, the state capital.
He? urged the government to help in fighting piracy in entertainment industry, which he said is one of the foremost problems militating against the industry in the country. He also called on producers to lend a helping hand to upcoming artistes.
Rishkedor also appealed to youths to be good ambassador of their homes and urged them to always ensure peace and stability in the country.
He said, ?as a youth we are the future of tomorrow and we should be seen as good ambassadors of our different homes for us to succeed and make our parents proud.?
He commended the Kwara State Government under the able leadership of Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed for the good job in the entertainment industry and for ensuring dividends of democracy.
