Kutcher's Jobs tanks on opening weekend

'Jobs,' starring Ashton Kutcher, right, and Josh Gad, was nowhere near as popular as some of Jobs' creations.

Jobs the innovator was a hit; "Jobs" the movie, not so much.

Despite great buzz and a wide theatrical release, a movie on the life of Apple icon Steve Jobs tanked at the box office.

"Jobs" pulled in just $6.7 million, The Wall Street Journal reported. The movie, starring Ashton Kutcher as Jobs, cost $12 million to produce, according to The Journal.

By contrast, "The Butler," billed as Oprah Winfrey's return to the big screen, netted $25 million, and "We're the Millers," with Jennifer Aniston, garnered $17.8 million.

Reviews of "Jobs" were mixed, to be kind. Digital Producer Jon Xavier gives his take on the movie for you here.
